Removing Mildew Stains From Walls
Mildew found on bathroom walls or around windows, must be washed off prior to painting. If mildew is not removed from the surfaces to be painted, it will reappear within a few months.
To remove mildew, wash and scrub the surface with a solution of three parts water and one part bleach, using a floor brush. For smaller areas, such as the grout between ceramic tiles, use a toothbrush.
Allow the solution to sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with clear water.
Make sure to wear gloves throughout this project.
